While Sonic is tearing up the box office with Sonic the Hedgehog 2, developers SEGA have found a new way for old and new fans to connect with everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog in a familiar experience.
Following multiple leaks and rumors surfacing about the company developing a remastered collection featuring titles of the iconic video game character, SEGA finally let the cat out of the bag, when it revealed Sonic Origins earlier today.

Origins is a remastered collection of four Sonic titles, which includes Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD, and it will release later this year on June 23.
Other than the remastered visuals of the game, SEGA will introduce new game modes, and animation shorts for people to receive an entirely new experience. However, fans of the classics will also provide the same exciting adventures with the Classic mode, which allows players to play the game just like they did years ago.
With the Anniversary mode (Yes, anniversary. Sonic is turning 31 this year), the remastered visuals kick into high gear, as fans will have a full screen experience they have never seen before with these titles. Along with that, all of the games will allow players to choose any character between Sonic, Tails and Knuckles to play with for the entire time during their run.
