The Fortnite servers are now no longer down! The servers were down for players across the globe in preparation for Chapter 4 Season 2 to begin. Fear not, this is not an error on Epic Games’ behalf, this is a routine process used to get ready for the newest batch of content and added features in the next Season.
So this scheduled maintenance is now complete, and the expected server downtime for Chapter 4 Season 2 has been met.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 downtime
As of March 10th 12:00 UTC, Fortnite has now notified players via the Epic Games Public Status, that the scheduled maintenance has been completed.
This means that the downtime before Chapter 4 Season 2 has ended, and it is now ready to play.
The servers are currently down for routine maintenance to prepare for the launch of Chapter 4 Season 2. Although Epic Games haven’t specifically given a time for how long the game will be down, we can usually infer a timeframe from previous updates
Fortnite server maintenance progress
Fortnite’s servers were down from March 9th 15:13 UTC to March 10th 12:00 UTC. Now, players can boot up Fortnite once again and enjoy all the the new season has to offer! According to Epic Games’ server status page, the server maintenance progress was as follows:
Completed – The scheduled maintenance has been completed.
