The smartphone season of 2023 is truly upon us, as the top Android smartphone manufacturers have already started releasing the next-gen devices. After Samsung, we have OPPO; the company is ready to launch its next flagship Find-X series device, the OPPO Find X6, in the market.
The last device in the Find-X series, the OPPO Find X, was released in the spring of 2022. We already have a few leaks and official announcements, which indicate the launch of the Find X6 is approaching fast. Here’s what we know so far about the release date of OPPO Find X6.
OPPO Find X6 release date history
The last Find-X series device was the OPPO Find X5, released in March of last year. OPPO has been following a specific Spring release window for its flagship Find-X series devices; we confirmed it by closely examining its release date history.
- OPPO Find X Release Date: July 2018
- OPPO Find X2 Release Date: March 2020
- OPPO Find X3 Release Date: March 2021
- OPPO Find X4 Release Date: Skipped
- OPPO Find X5 Release Date: March 2022
As you can see, except for the first OPPO Find X, the Chinese tech giant has closely followed a March release window.
OPPO Find X6 release date prediction: when does the OPPO Find X6 release?
According to a post by Digital Chat Station on Weibo. OPPO’s launch will come after the Spring festival/Chinese New Year, which is close to February End or March. It coincides with OPPO’s previous Find-X release dates.
However, the company may have delayed the Find X6 launch slightly due to the OPPO Find N2 Flip’s global release at the MWC last month.
OPPO Find X6 specifications (predicted)
We have a few leaks regarding the specs of the upcoming OPPO Find X6; however, it’s all over the place. Let’s check out what we have here.
- Design: The company may reinvent the Find-X series design with the Find X6. Our first render is from EvLeaks, who shared a new design with a big rectangular camera module with the Hasselblad logo. However, GSMArena shared a few images of the OPPO phone, which doesn’t directly show the camera module. But partially, the camera module looks wider than what is shared by EvLeaks that tilts the smartphone. Another Weibo Leaker has shared an image of the smartphone alongside the specs, which show a completely different round camera module.
- Display: 6.74-inch AMOLED panel with 120 Hz refresh rate according to the Weibo spec leak.
- CPU: OPPO has officially announced that the upcoming Find X series will feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean the Find X6 will receive the new chip upgrade. OPPO could be indicating the Find-X Pro device. Even a Weibo leaker, Digital Agent 007, claims the Find X6 will use the older Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
- Camera: An early report suggested that Find X6 will feature two 50MP sensors and a 32MP telephoto sensor. But Digital Chat Station recently claimed that all three sensors would be 50MP. The IMX890 will be the main sensor, with two unknown sensors for the ultra-wide and telephoto. However, the Weibo spec leak clarifies it by suggesting an ISOCELL JN1 sensor for ultra-wide and IMX763 sensor for the telephoto.
- Battery: 4,800 mAh battery capacity with 80W and 30W charging speed. The wired charging speed is more or less confirmed due to China’s 3C certification.
